The month for love. For love in all forms. For young love, and new love, for old love, and for unconditional love. I have spent the past 5 days digging into unconditional love, of love that’s roots run deeper today than they did yesterday. My mom fell on Saturday. Taking a simple walk with her dog and my niece in her backyard. She broke her hip. And in an instant, her world as she knew it changed, as did my family’s. My parents were just 7 days shy of their annual trek to the sunny south to finish out their winter. They were packed, excited and anticipating warm Atlantic sunrises. My aunt and uncle, who live with my parents had, that morning departed for their 2 month trek to Myrtle Beach, with a stop in Virginia to spend a few days with their daughter. Myself and my siblings, going about our busy lives with sports and kids and crazy schedules. But all was paused at 3:15 on Saturday. All was paused when I arrived at Mom and Dad’s and saw my mom loaded onto an ambulance stretcher, down the little slope in their yard, her leg obscurely turned out to the side. All was paused, when I saw my Daddy, unable to get to his wife due to his stability issues, weeping against his car in the driveway. But LOVE was there. Love was there as my sister and I kissed her head, as I prayed in the ambulance on the way to the hospital, as I saw one by one my siblings arriving at the hospital. Love rained down on all of us on Saturday in the ER as we waited for news of her injury. Love was there on Sunday morning as we regrouped in her room, and her sister arrived back from Virginia. Love was in each tear they shed together and each tear the rest of us shed watching two siblings connect in a way that only siblings can. Love was 8 of us, following the stretcher down the hall en route to the OR to repair mom’s broken body. Love was Daddy holding Mom’s hand every chance he could. Love was my morning prayer today, the first time I have quieted my mind enough in these last 5 days to let this all soak in. God gave me total peace amidst this, He gave me LOVE in its purest form. Be loved my friends, and show love. It is truly the greatest gift we have. Blessings, Meg

What a whirlwind life is at the moment. We somehow have a 10 month old & by these photos clearly he does not like to be still. He is ON THE GO & fast for sure! This 34 week pregnant gal is slowing down & chasing him has me a bit exhausted these days. FIVE weeks from today, we get to meet our little lady. I'm beyond excited, yet if I'm honest: a little nervous what life is about to look like. I've got this one kiddo thing down pretty great, but adding another tiny human into the mix should be interesting. Who knows what kind of baby she will be like (if it's any indication lately, she will be a night owl...) Beyond grateful for God's provision of these cuties that I get to raise. Thanks for sharing in all this FUN with us! <3
January was our "downtime month". A time to really connect at home, with our families. And let us just say it was SO good & much needed. Our boys got to spend lots of time with their mamas & our husbands got to spend some quality time with their wives, too! In this industry we are GO GO GO through wedding season, which seems to be getting longer with each passing year. We worked from home a decent amount & thankfully we live close to one another. January is also meetings galore, which is an exciting time for our business. We really love connecting with brides (&grooms) to be! >> It has been a great start to 2018! But we are excited to be back into full swing here at the shop this month.

Check out what our January looked like:
